I am looking for a genuine, brand new battery for a T500 (2243), ideally cheaper than Lenovo ($179).

Since most of the forum members are US-based, I reckon the best price I could get would be from there.

Obviously I am not living in the US, but a friend of mine is traveling there 13-17 October. So, I could buy the battery and give her hotel's address for shipping? Obviously neither my paypal address nor the name will match. I have already confirmed with the hotel that they accept parcels for customers.

As per our PM conversation, I'm willing to ship the battery to the hotel so your friend can carry it back, but only with the clear understanding that my responsibility ends when the battery is delivered at the hotel. Shipping insurance doesn't cover loss or mishandling by hotel employees. If we are clear on this, then please acknowledge here and I'll ship the battery after confirmation with the hotel that this is permitted.

Following our PM communication, I am confirming that you will not be deemed liable to whatever happens to the battery as long as it is delivered to the hotel. Thank you in advance.
