Hi
I'm looking for an X61 with a Penryn, preferrably T9300.
If you have one with a faulty or broken display, better yet. But i won't be fussy if it's in working order
It could also be without keyboard, drive, ram, dock, PSU, etc. Same for the battery too, can always get that elsewhere. But if you do have one so much better - 4 cell even better.
I will require it to be shipped to France though.
Thanks!

I think your best bet is buying it from ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-LENOVO-X61- ... 4ab9b67e44
..as these are very rare (not available in US also) and the price is reasonable for such a board (~200 euros).

Dang... can't afford that much on just the mobo!
Thing is that I also need the whole laptop, as what I have is a tablet one. I bought the tablet because of the SXGA+ FV IPS screen but don't need the tablet, it's bulkier and heavier to carry around...

Yeah, but you cannot use SXGA+ screen from X61T because it is basically impossible to remove the protective glass from it because it is glued onto the LCD panel itself, not just the metal edges. You need SXGA+ panel from the X60T, from that it is easy to remove the protective glass.
Also, Penryn X61-s are expensive and hard to find, cheapest T9300 equipped X61 I've seen was €279 about a year ago.

I'm not entirely sure but I think both generations (X60t and X61t) use those two panels HV121P01-100, HV121P01-101 which I suppose is what you're talking about.
Either way my X61 T has the HV121P01-100

Sounds better than just the motherboard for nearly that much money

If you have -100 then you're good to go.
But believe me, X61 chassis parts can be had for a lot less than €79
