FS: IBM Thinkpad Z61t

#1 Post by Medessec » Sun Oct 14, 2012 4:15 am

This ad is for a Thinkpad Z61t with a Titanium lid. I picked this up to tinker with a few months ago, but now I have no need for it, and I kinda need the money.

Yes, the A-key is still missing. I WILL have an A-key for this soon, as I have since ordered a replacement keyboard for -60 Thinkpads. I will put the A-key in before shipping the laptop, but if you want to wait for me to post new pics to make sure, I suppose you can do that.

Specs:
-Intel Core Duo T2500, 2.0 GHz
-2 GB DDR2 RAM
-Intel GMA 950
-DVD/CD-RW combo
-1440x900 14.1" Widescreen TFT display
-250GB Seagate Barracuda HD

For more info you can try this: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Category:Z61t

This laptop DOES have the Verizon Sierra Wireless 1xEV-DO WAN adapter, Bluetooth, and the integrated webcam.

The condition of the laptop is quite good-there are no big scratches, wear marks or gashes in the plastic, except a few on the bottom, such as one on the fan duct. The keys are a little bit worn, and the touchpad is also worn a bit. The screen has no blemishes or dead pixels. The Ti lid however-there are some wear spots, and small nicks in the coat, but overall the Ti lid is in good physical shape otherwise, with no dents or big scratches. I'd strongly advise peeking at the pics to see the condition of the lid for yourself before buying.

I have Windows 7 installed on it at the moment as you can see-however I do not plan to include it in the purchase, as I only have so many Win 7 keys and do not want to use one on this, since this laptop still has a good XP COA. I will either: wipe the HD upon purchase, or if the buyer requests, I will install XP using the COA key. The COA sticker, as you can see in the pictures, has taken a bit of a beating, but is still good for the key. I would highly recommend recording it upon receiving the laptop, just in case.

I'm going to give a starting price of $160, this will include shipping. I plan to ship with a Medium Flat Rate box with USPS unless otherwise requested. Any questions, or comments, please contact me via PM. I DO accept PayPal, of course.
Trying my hardest to collect Thinkpads, but college and being broke kinda gets in the way. However...

Rather than a new keyboard, the key (cap, hardware, etc) can also be sourced by itself.

I was thinking of doing that at first-but I also recently got a T60p which has the same sort of keyboard(slightly different clips) and is also missing keys. So I just figured on a whole keyboard, since they're reasonably cheap as well.
