[Trade] or possible trade T7400 for my T7600 cpu *feeler*

This is a feeler to see if anyone out there has a T7400 and wants to upgrade to T7600. I have a buyer that for reasons that seem to defy logic would prefer the T7400, and I may have a T7600 to trade so I'll entertain offers. I'd also be willing to discuss trades for other parts if you have a T7400 SL9SE.


update: I'm no longer interested in this trade, but if someone does have a T7400 I might have something else that I'm willing to trade for it.

I don't have a T7400 but I do find it odd how the used processor price market operates. I've seen lower clocked Intel processors sell for more than the faster versions time and time again. It makes no sense! Maybe some are scared of the high end of the processor line and can't handle the power. Others probably want a cooler running CPU. Or the extreme are superstitious and prefer certain model numbers.

Simply put it defies logic. There is no advantage to a T7400 over a T7600 unless there is some type of laptop that won't run the latter. In a thinkpad the T7600 is king.

I'm thinking about withdrawing this offer, but if anyone does have a T7400, I might have something else to trade for it, assuming my buyer still wants it.

You can overclock the T7400 to 200 MHz FSB while you cannot do that with T7600.

I just sold my T60p with T7400, otherwise I would have traded it without a problem.
