Hello, this is an ad for an IBM Thinkpad 770 computer. This is just a 770, type 9548.

It has:
-Intel Pentium I 233MHz processor
-160MB RAM
-4GB HD
-DVD-ROM in the UltraBay

Big note before continuing-this laptop currently suffers from the 161, 163 errors(errors associated with a dead CMOS battery.) I do have some CR2025s in the mail and I do intend to plug one in if I get one in time, but for now I'm selling this laptop with that issue.

The condition of this laptop is very good, aside from marks and scuffs on the lid, and a wear mark in front of the stickers(The Intel Pentium sticker and Windows sticker), this laptop looks very clean and very good. The keys have some wear and the trackpoint has seen better days, but I'll pop a fresh one on before sending. Of course, the battery doesn't hold any charge. All of the other hardware works, the Infrared apparently works very well: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=106936

I've also dusted out the insides and installed XP on the machine, and it runs it VERY smoothly. This machine will include an AC adapter of course.

Any other questions or inquiries, please PM me, or post here. I'm currently asking $80, but I'm open to offers.

What are you looking to get for it?

In terms of the price?

As I stated I was looking for $80, but I understand that is a bit high... so I am very open to any sort of offer. I don't want any lowballers though... this thing does work and is in a lot better condition than I see a lot of 770s. And the BIOS has been updated-so Standby works and the gfx works a lot smoother.

Update:

I've replaced the CMOS battery. The machine now boots up with no errors at all.

And let me just stress-this 770, aside from a few marks, scuffs on the lid and a wear spot above the Pentium and Windows 98 stickers, this 770 is in very good condition and would make a great candidate as a collectible. It also boots up in a reasonable amount of time and the screen is quite bright, so it's something to show off or toy with as well.

I finally got around to taking a picture... although, on my camcorder, which stinks.

Same asking price still stands: $80 shipped, but again, I'm open to offers.
