Hi All!
I bought my first Thinkpad and love it! It was used, but I only paid $299 for my T410s.
Unfortunately. I destroyed the LCD Panel. So, I joined this forum in the hopes that
someone can help me out.

Does anyone have a used Screen Assembly for a T400s/T410s/T410si?
- or -
Does someone have a used or new LCD Panel to fit the same?

The LCD Panel Specs are as follows:
Samsung LTN141BT08-001
Part#: 27R2484
FRU#: 27R2485
40-Pin Connector
LED Backlight
1440x900
14.1" Diagonal

Compatible Panel:
Toshiba LT141DEQ8B00
Lenovo Part#: 27R2478
Lenovo FRU#: 27R2479

Any help or advice is appreciated!

Thank You, Ted

I hope you have better luck than I did. I bought a 410s with a broken screen earlier this year with the plan of replacing the screen. After I purchased, I realized you can't find a screen except for BIG bucks no matter where you look. I ended up using various parts from the machine, and I didn't pay too much in the first place, so I came out about even with the parts. But I was disappointed not to be able to replace the screen :?

Hope you have better luck than I did -- Maybe someone on the Forum has a bad motherboard and will want to part out their screen :thumbs-UP:

emtee3511,
Thanks for your advice. I was hoping for a parted-out display, but if that doesn't work out, I guess I can continue checking the local pawn shops. I hope and think that the T400s has the same display. The T400s would probably be about 2 years older but I have my fingers crossed,
that I can get a used T400s for around $150. My only concern, is that the LED display might
not have been the only option for a display in the T400s.
The sad thing is I had just installed 8Gb of RAM and an Mushkin SSD in my T410s. I really liked the 18 sec boot times for Win7. Compared to my 10 year old Toshiba laptop, it was a thrill.
I did buy a T400 for $190. But I found out the display was not the same. To add insult to
injury, the pawn shop would not return it, because it was not broken. But as ugly as they
acted, I'm glad I got stuck with the T400. I feel kind of like James Bond using these ThinkPads. I just wish it had an i5 and a way to use my Mushkin MSata SSD....
Well, I dislike being patient, but I'm afraid it might be a while, before my T410s is repaired. I
guess, I could use it as strictly a homebound desktop. I'm thinking of ordering a DisplayPort
adapter to plug it into a LCD monitor or maybe the HDTV. In fact, if I think of a way to
relocate the wireless antenna, I would just remove the broken screen and the rear assembly completely.

I hope your having a happy holiday.
Ted

I have both the T400 and the T410 -- If I were you, I'd use the parts in my T400 while waiting for a T410s LED screen. I have an SSD and 8gb ram in the T400, and it runs really nice -- very snappy -- you might find out you are very happy with the T400 and then it won't take so much patience while you wait for a screen :thumbs-UP:

That's insane. If you can find a T400s for that much, grab it. Even if it has the wrong screen, you can sell it + the T400 and use the profit to purchase the LED screen.

emtee3511,
Thanks for your kind thoughts. I was very hopeful that I would find
a solution here in the Thinkpad forum and I was not disappointed.
I never figured out why a screen for a T410s is so expensive and rare.
But, I hope next time, I will remember that before I sit on one and break it!
I decided the cause of the break was a black recliner,
black T410s, bad eyesight, and forgetfulness. Since I don't want to get
rid of the T410s and I can't get rid of the bad eyes or forgetulness, I guess the
only solution is to buy a different color recliner.

Have a Merry Christmas,
Ted

Where did you find that deal?

You can use an adapter to get the mSATA to plug into the 2.5" bay on the T400.
