WTB: 14" T61 motherboard preferably from EU

Friend's T61 died (doesn't turn on, it did once after removing and reinstalling battery). IBM service center diagnosed bad motherboard.
So I need a replacement motherboard - her was with nVidia Quadro NVS.
I have no problem buying from USA or Worldwide - only issue is that they tack on 20% VAT and 15 EUR processing fee but if price is OK, it doesn't matter. I recently bought replacement screen for my 14" T60p on USA ebay without problems.
I can pay by IBAN bank transfer or by paypal.
If you are company in EU and can issue a receipt it would be great as I can then put it in expenses.

You need to specify the size of the laptop and the type of GPU!
T61 comes in 14.1" 4:3, 14.1" widescreen and 15.4" widescreen.
And a choice of Intel (1 version) or nVidia (3 versions) graphics.

It's 14.1" widescreeen T61 1440x900. Type 7664-1FG
It has FireWire port.
For now I'm going with the plan of trying to fix motherboard. If that doesn't work, then I'll buy replacement.

Try posting a WTB in the german sister forum (shipping costs could be more affordable)... But you will need google translator or to PM a local mod, maybe they can help translating to german.

I can assure you that a failed GPU cannot be fixed. Some shops claim that reflowing the board will fix it, but this isn't true. Any success will be temporary. The only way to properly fix a board with a failed GPU would be to replace the GPU with a new redesigned chip, but nVidia only makes them as needed and only for OEM partners like Lenovo. There are many chips being sold online that claim to be "new", but they are actually old used chips that have had their date codes removed and new one's etched in their place.
Do a google search for the words "fake chips" and "china", and you'll see that even the US dept of defense was scammed by these fake chips.
I do wish you luck in your quest, but I fear that any money spend on fixing your board will be wasted.
