I have for sale a Thinkpad T43p, type 2668-H8U that is no longer used. I kept it for photograph storage and as an Itunes server, but finally got tired of using a separate laptop just for that purpose. It's in excellent condition, has never had the video chip problem, or any other problem for that matter. I got it as a factory refurb, dated 05/06. Basic specs as follows:

Pentium M 2.13 GHz processor
HD is a Fujitsu MHV2100 AH PL ata (100 Gb.)
Matshita DVD-RAM UJ 822s ATA
2 Gb memory
Atheros Wireless 11 a/b/g
Windows 7 premium 32 bit. (licensed)

Asking $125.00 + shipping, U.S. only. Paypal ok, but you pay the charges. Pictures available at:

... just to add a few more details about the (ab stock) configuration of this T43p:
Lenovo's Support page says about the ThinkPad T43p (2668-H8U) wrote: P M 770, 1 GB RAM, 60 GB 7200 rpm HDD, 15 UXGA (1600x1200) TFT LCD, 128MB ATI FireGL V3200, CD-RW/DVD-R Multi-Burner, IBM 802.11 a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth/Modem, 1 Gb Ether, UltraNav, Sec Chip, 9 cell Li-Ion Batt, WinXP Pro
... so we're talking a 4:3 FlexView/IPS ThinkPad here! :thumbs-UP:

Questions:

1) About the LCD: Does it have: a) Any dead or stuck pixels and b) Does it have any "dust specs" (dust behind the LCD front-glass), and c) How about the condition of the CCFL (ageing?!); does the LCD show any signs of darkening in the corners/sides? Check all of this using e.g. the free Dead Pixel Buddy

2) Does the original Windows 7 installation CD's/DVD's with the original, legally purchaced serial-number come with this T43p?

3) Does it have the XP COA attached to the bottom, and if so does the original T43/p XP recovery media also come with the laptop?

Thanks in advance for updating your ad with all of this very interesting and relevant information!

Good luck with the sale! :)

Johan

Hi Johan
Ok, let's see here, in answer to your questions-
1. No dead or stuck pixels. Very slight darkening in bottom left and right corners, no yellowing of display, still very bright.
2. It's a windows 7 PREMIUM install, I made a recovery disc for it. I updated the XP install with one of those 3 licenses for home use discs that MS offered a few years ago. Can't find any of the original Thinkpad XP install discs.
3. Still has the XP COA on the bottom.

This laptop spent its whole life on a desk, it never traveled. I used either the X31 or X60 in my signature for that.
