WTB: X60T RAM (4GB of it!)

Hey fellas, just posting up to see if any of you have a bunch of PC-5300 SODIMM's laying around you want to part with for cheaper than eBays price of $40 (for two 2GB sticks). If ya do, lemme know!

That machine can only use 3GB (chipset limitation) out of the 4GB that would fit.
So 2GB + 1GB is the optimal solution, and a bit cheaper as well.

I can get genuine lenovo 2gb chips (1gb also), but I can't even buy them for the price of the people on ebay selling generic ram. Some of the ram sold on ebay is substandard chips, or defective chips with the defective circuits disabled, or effectively cut-out. I'm not saying everything on ebay is bad, but I'd steer clear of the generic no-name ram commonly sold, as I've seen some of it substantially reduce benchmark tests results.

I also echo what RBS posted, your system is limited to 3gb so a 2gb and 1gb chip would get you to the max cheaper then 2x2. The best I could do on these chips is $23 (2gb) and $7.50 (1gb) plus shipping for lenovo ram. You might find someone here that has some they don't need and are willing to sell cheap, so good luck.
