None of these is available anymore. Closing thread.

I have way too many of these cards lying around.

The following items are $5 each unless otherwise noted, cheaper if you buy several at once. $2 shipping for any number of them within CONUS.
PM with questions/offers. Even though these are pretty cheap to begin with, I will consider offers.

Wireless cards
Internal, miniPCIe:
(2) Intel 3945ABG, with FRU 42T0853. Works without hacked BIOS in T60/61 generation ThinkPads.

Internal, miniPCI:
Askey WLL4070-D50. Atheros AR5006XS chipset, supports 802.11 a/b/g, dual band 2.4GHz/5GHz.

External, Cardbus (32 bit):
3Com 3CRPAG175B. Has retractable XJACK antenna: retracts into laptop completely when not in use. Atheros chipset, 802.11 a/b/g.

External, PCMCIA (16 bit):
$2 3Com 3CRSHPW196. Has retractable XJACK antenna: retracts into laptop completely when not in use. Note: this is a 3.3V card, therefore does not fit in my 701c. I have not managed to get it working on modern laptops with modern Linux distributions.
Orinoco Gold 024205/B PC24E-11-FC/R. Hermes I chipset, 802.11b. Often called the "gold standard" of wireless networking back when war-driving was in fashion.

External, CF card interface:
D-link DCF-650W. PRISM II chipset, 802.11b only. May be useful for handheld devices or ThinkPads with a CF card slot.

DDR2 RAM sticks
All of the following are of 512MB capacity.
(2) Hynix PC2-5300S-555-12
(1) Transcend DDR2 667
(2) Ramaxel PC2-4200S-444
(1) SimpleTech-branded PC2-5300 CL5, Elpida chips

Random stuff
Seagate 5GB ST1 microdrive. A small hard drive in CF-card form factor.
Chinese generic brand 4-port USB2 Cardbus card.

More random stuff
I don't have a price in mind for these. Make offers if something catches your eye.
Sharp Zaurus SL-5500 PDA. With charger, USB docking station and serial cable.
Handspring Visor PDA.

Might be interested on one of the 16 bit cards. You don't happen to know if one of them work with JLime Linux, do you? More precisely a Jornada 620LX?

Jlime claims to support "all 16bit cards that are supported by x86 Linux", so theoretically either should work.

Does the Jornada 620LX accept 3.3V cards?

As far as i know, it does work. Since there was two seperate bettery life estimations done by HP one with a 3.3v card and one with a 5v card.

In that case, either 16bit card should work.
(Note that I have not been able to test the 3Com card, hence the lower price. My 701c would not accept it because it's a 3.3V card, and it does not work with the latest Linux kernel on my newer laptops.)

I've actually had more luck with 3com cards. Could you check shipping to sweden? Also, how much is the Oronico card?

Still interested.... Are you willing to ship overseas?

Does the 32 bit 3com support WPA2 in Linux?

All my old external cards don't support WPA2 in Linux so, I have been on the wire with the Lifebook.

Thanks!

Whoops, did I seriously miss this reply? Sorry for the late response.
I am certainly willing to ship overseas. Shipping via USPS First Class to Sweden should be around $12 or so, although without borrowing a scale I can't give an exact quote. The Orinoco is $5.

Yes, the 32 bit Cardbus 3Com card does support WPA2 under Linux.

No worries, mate.

Ok, I can work with that. I'd need both cards then. Shall we tale the rest via PM?

Also, you mentioned the 3com doesn't work in your 701c. Does the Orinoco work? I'm asking because I'm pretty sure the 3com is a done deal for the Jornada, but I'm unsure about the Orinico for a TP 560 (which i mentioned in another thread).

Got the cards today. Pretty darn quickly to be honest. Both cards lit up and were found by their respective computers.

Also, a friendly bump.

Cheers
