looking to buy a used TP, preferably in good condition.

no OS no problem: I'll install my OS
no HD,small HD no problem: i'll change it

CPU: 1Ghz and faster
LCD: 14" or bigger, doesn't matter. Will use mostly as desktop replacement
LCD need to be with no dead pixel or any problem


am i asking too much?

I was looking at T23 but maybe anyone can tell me a better alternative. A/R/G series?

anyone? suggestion? offer?

We're here, but this isn't even a real question or solicitation. You can buy thousands of IBM computers that meet these criteria on eBay or directly from IBM - with a warranty. Here's a link;

Last week, for $500 you could have picked up a new Compaq laptop with 40gb drive, 15" LCD, 40gb, WiFi G, DVD/CD burner, 256MB, etc.

I know i can buy from ibm, ebay or whatever, but i want to buy from forum members here... who say i can't do that?

I believe it's only because your question is a bit ambiguous, not that you shouldn't ask.

I'm surprised that you haven't received any responses, there's almost always something being offered here that would meet your broad requirements.

If this isn't an immediate need, I'll see what I've got onhand or coming in during the next few days.

I thought I made it very clear about what i was looking in term of cpu/price/hd/lcd...

I meant to be helpful. Your original post did not state that your goal was to buy from a forum participant, but did state that you were "looking to buy a used TP" that met certain specifications. You ended buy asking if you were "asking too much?"

In fact, you were asking too little. So I pointed you in a couple of directions, one of which would return a refurbrished and warrantied laptop to you.

Now that you made it clear that you would like to buy the laptop from someone that reads/posts to this forum, that is fine. It's your money and desire. And, a nice gesture.

In the event others are not as supporting of forum members as you, I will point to another alternative for refurbrished laptops at very good prices, http://www.overstock.com.
