Need recovery disks for R40

I just replaced the HD in my old R40 and instead of paying Lenovo ~$70 for the recovery disks, I hoped I could install Windows7. However, I have been unable to get my Windows7 install disks to boot in the R40 and was informed via this forum that my r40 chipset is too old for Windows7. Does anyone have a set of recovery disks available for trade or small fee? The machine originally came with Windows XP professional. Thanks!
