As mentioned in the thread-title, I am looking for a couple of (preferably cheap!) 1 GB RAM modules, for a T42p that I am playing with.

RAM used in T42/p ThinkPad's is: PC2700, DDR333 SDRAM (333 MHz), 200-pin SODIMM (67 x 32 mm, JEDEC standard), unbuffered, non-parity, non-ECC, CL 2.5.

The following are the original IBM part-numbers/FRU's, which are of special interest: 31P9834, 31P9835 and/or 40Y8400 (the actual memory on these IBM-parts may be manufactured by either Samsung, Infineon, Hynix, Micron, Elpida or ProMOS).

Alternatively I am interested in (preferred!): Crucial CT12864X335. Finally, I also believe that Crucial P/N's CT433386 and CT392185 and CT347276 may work as well.

I have no interest in other memory modules that those listed above. Also, it goes without saying that I expect only offers for known-good (=tested!) RAM... as I have already had way too much "fun" with defective RAM in the past! :-(

Hoping to grab a couple of 1 GB sticks for around $15/each... Payment via PayPal; very slow (and very cheap!) e.g. USPS-shipping would be just fine. Shipping to me in Copenhagen, Denmark. Offers via PM or via e-mail: johan_granholm [at] yahoo [dot] dk

Thanks in advance for offer(s) that I just can't refuse! :-)

PS: No PC3200 offers, thanks.

Best regards,

Johan

I probably have some, but I can't check tonight.
EDIT: Sorry; it's not worth doing international shipping; good luck.

Thanks for your "offer", although it was a quite shortlived one... !?!

Anyway, I have just bought a couple of sticks from a friendly forum member, residing in the sunny California, so my need has been served.

By the way, Economizer, I think you may be slightly misinformed about the hassle and cost of shipping stuff internationally... it is actually (at least in my experience!) quite cheap to receive parts from e.g. the US, so please don't let this stop you another time. If you wish to have a "practical hint" of how to ship (cheaply!) things to us savage people over here in The Old World  then you may see e.g. this post.

Bottom line, anyway, thanks for your offer - and please feel free another time I'm looking for stuff! :thumbs-UP:
