I bought this laptop January 2013, so it's still fairly new (and it has a 3 year warranty which expires on Oct. 26, 2015--you can check this at http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product ... fault.page? the serial number is R9V2KM1). The machine type is: 23539KU.
I'm mainly selling it because I realize now that I really do not need another laptop, as my older ThinkPad T510 still works fine. I originally bought it from Newegg (for a little over $1100) and you can see the exact product page here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834312090
Basic specs (if you need more, just ask):
Screen: 14" HD+ LCD @1600x900
CPU: Intel Core i5-3210M @2.5GHz
RAM: 12 GB DDR3 (upgraded from 4 GB, so one slot has original 4 GB stick and the other a 8 GB stick, it maxes out at 16 GB - this is the stick I added: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820226322). The added RAM has a lifetime warranty.
HDD: Samsung 840 Pro 128 GB SSD (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009NB8WR0/ref ... 1_ST1_dp_1) as well as the original 500 GB Hitachi HDD (installed in an Ultrabay adapter). I will include the original DVD-RW drive as well which can be hot-swapped with the UltraBay drive. The SSD has over four years left on its five year warranty.
Graphics: Nvidia Optimus system: Intel HD 4000 and Nvidia NVS 5200M with 1 GB RAM.
Ports: 2 USB 2.0, 1 USB 3.0, one audio Combo jack, miniDisplayPort (i.e. Thunderbolt), VGA port, ethernet jack, memory card reader.
It has a webcam, mic, backlit keyboard and ThinkLight, etc. The wireless card is an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 which can do 802.11a/b/g/n. Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, and comes with a Windows 7 Professional x64 license. It did not come with a restore DVD and I currently have Windows 8 installed, so I will wipe the drives and re-install Windows 7 Pro x64 without activating it and you can activate it via the serial under the battery.
It is pretty much in perfect condition, though it has a few small, hard to find scuffs from normal wear (though not many, since it was usually used at home on a table) and a small scratch on the palm rest (will add link to photos soon). The battery is still in good condition, because I hardly use it (though, I did train it properly according to current standards for Li-Ion training, and do use it occasionally). It is the standard 6-cell battery. The charger is of course included.
I no longer have the box (not that it was anything special, it just had the laptop, charger, and warranty booklet/manual which are available online anyway). I will provide all boxes and papers (and receipts, for warranty purposes) for the SSD and the added RAM. I will provide receipt for the laptop purchase (though you do not need it to use the warranty).
If there are any questions, please ask. Thanks.
*If anyone thinks the price unreasonable, let me know, I didn't really know how much to list it for. Though if it is fair, you can let me know that as well
