Asus Bluetooth dongle for older Thinkpads

If your older Thinkpad doesn't have Bluetooth, or it has a version older than 2.0, consider my EDR (enhanced data rate) Asus dongle:

With Windows 7, just plug it in, and the driver will be found by Windows. For XP, use the supplied disk.

Note: It's not controlled by the Thinkpad F5 radio pop-up. It can be turned off by disabling it in device manager, although the easiest way is to unplug it.

This is a V2.0 dongle. Although it has the 3.1 MB/s feature, authentication is a little different from later versions. Some say that 2.1 introduces a security hole. But with XP, regardless of what software stack you use, there is a learning curve. It's not as polished as later.
