Come on people! This must be one of the most powerful T61 models ever made. Someone must be interested! Any serious offer considered!
Up for sale is a ThinkPad T61P model 6458-FY7
Specs from the Lenovo site give the original system as:
Based on 6457-RZ9:
T9300(2.5 GHz) CPU
4 GB RAM
160GB 7200rpm HD ... now 320GB 7200rpm HD
15.4 in 1920x1200 LCD
256MB nVIDIA Quadro FX 570M
CDRW/DVDRW
Intel 802.11agn wireless
Bluetooh
Modem
1Gb Ethernet
UltraNav
Secure Chip
Fingerprint Reader
9c Li-Ion battery
WinVista Business 32 OS ... now Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
The sticker on the bottom of the machine gives the date of manufacture 08/05
There is a Microsoft COA on the bottom of the machine but it is impossible
to tell what OS it is for.
Cosmetically there is a small chip out of the left side of the LCD lid
directly above the headphone jack. Size is about 1/8 in or about 3 mm. A pic
is available upon request. There is some evidence that there was a sticker and
maybe some sort of liquid spill on the exterior lid top at some time but this
really does not affect the appearance. Otherwise I haven't noticed anything
obviously wrong with this machine..
I purchased this machine off ebay a couple of months ago and have only used
it a few times for watching movies. It came with Windows 7 but I mostly used
linux, which I have now removed. There is a Thinkvantage recovery partition,
but the Thinkvantage tools on the Win 7 OS do not seem to see it. However I
have made a Win 7 system recovery disk and Win 7 image backup on DvDs which
will be supplied with the machine.
I'm asking $350 Canadian + shipping ($20 - Canada or US) or best offer.
Depending on the price agreed upon, I am willing to switch the 4 GB RAM for
8 GB RAM, which a 64 Bit OS should be able to see.
