IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T30
Type 2366-88U

Intel Pentium 4-M Processor 2.00GHz
updated to BIOS Version 2.10 (1IET71WW)
upgraded to 1024MB (1GB) memory
20GB hard drive
CD/DVD-ROM drive
IBM 72W AC Adapter
all other standard specifications of laptop apply

This IBM Thinkpad T30 was well-taken care of-- it is fully functional, complete, and very very clean with very little wear on cover, bottom, keys, palmrest. Put it this way: you can still see the specks of the matte finish on the cover and it still has that new computer/electronics smell (hmmm that was a strange thing to say, and even stranger that i am smelling my laptop/keyboard). LCD display vibrant and in good condition.

Laptop served its purpose for me and now it must be passed on to a good home-- use for its pristine parts, use as a spare, etc.

Battery life <1 hour so may need replacement.

Clean install of Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 with all component drivers installed.

FREE D-Link Rangebooster G Notebook Adapter WNA-2330 (802.11bg) -- drivers are installed and wifi working when connected. (This laptop did not have wifi card in original configuration).

20140204 NOTES:
** I have no camera at the moment so no pictures. Will update post with external links to pics when can get my hands on a camera.
** SORRY! my fat [censored] just recently and accidentally cracked the HDD cover in two places but it is still in one piece (the HDD cover, silly). I also managed to lose the HDD cover screw too during my little mishap.
** After reading posts on thinkpads forum, I am unknowing of whether or not memory slots fix was ever performed. At some point I will further investigate for a definitve answer and update the posting. To date, computer recognizes the two SODIMMS for 1024MB memory.

20140215 UPDATED:
** Amongst my stuff I found a ThinkPad 3.5" floppy drive (FRU P/N 08K9607) that I am fairly certain this goes with this T30, so I am including it with the sale. Please note that the door is broken (a side peg is broken off) and is currently separated from the unit (along with door spring).

20140430 UPDATED:
** Reasonable offers considered. I love this computer (note, my first ThinkPad), but must go in storage/recycling soon if no one is interested.
I reduced price yet again and would consider a trade for a used/working 250GB (OR 500GB) SATA 2.5 9.5mm 5400rpm HDD?!?!?

20140505 SALE PENDING

USD$40.00
PLUS buyer responsible for actual shipping fees via USPS to US only (for example, current USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Medium Flat Box is $12.35) if not local pickup in MA.

Just a heads up from an Alaskan: USPS delivers flat rate to us also - and Hawaii, Guam, and all the protectorates - no reason to restrict it to the contiguous U.S.

Thank you for pointing this out! I will update my post.
(I am thoroughly embarrassed/disgusted regarding my ignorance!)

Oh, please don't be! There's a shockingly large list of things that we're all completely ignorant of. This XKCD cartoon explains my position on the subject perfectly - http://xkcd.com/1053/

It's working well and looks quite nice.

I had to fight with the Intel 2200BG wireless cards that I like to use in T30s. What a PITA. I'm not going to get into it, but I finally got one of the 4 cards to allow me to install the 9 year old driver from the CD.

But the unit itself is nice and the fan is spinning quietly.
