Nice and fairly powerful machine looking for a good home. Another "p" unit mislabeled as a standard T61 on Lenovo's site...
No, it does NOT sport a "safe" date. That's why it's being offered at a *significant* discount. On my end, I've burned the heck out of GPU with Freestone and Furmark for days, and haven't gotten it to bluescreen - let alone crash - once. I'm fairly confident that there's a lot of life left in this machine presuming one doesn't abuse it with extensive gaming/overclocking.
There is average wear/shine on keyboard/palmrest, but the laptop is pretty clean overall and I'd rate it at 8.25 out of 10. The hinges have a bit of play, but nowhere near what is considered to be the (unfortunate) standard on these machines.
UPDATE 04/13/2014::
I just realized that there is a hairline crack under the lower set of buttons under the palmrest (on the palmrest itself, NOT the base) and while it's not affecting the machine's functionality, it is there and I'm hence lowering the price of this unit...read on below...
Parts available for just about any upgrade are available, and while I have no problem performing the work, I'd much rather sell this ThinkPad in its current configuration...
