WTB: T61, T400, or T410

I'm interested in buying my first Thinkpad. I don't want to spend a lot of money, and I'm not too interested in speed/performance as long as it's fast enough to surf the web without being too slow.

Does it matter what OS is loaded on the machine? Can you load the OS yourself? What do you wish to spend?

A t43 running GNU/Linux can be had very inexpensive (<$99), and would make a good web surfing machine.

The 61/400 are Core2duo with greater ram capacity and are still pretty strong machines. Should be able to find good examples of these for around or under 200.

The 410 is actually still somewhat pricey imho, as are most systems capable of using "i" series cpus.

I'd like to be at about $200, so the T400 sounds like a good option. I'd prefer not to load my own OS, but if it significantly affects price I wouldn't mind throwing Ubuntu onto it
