Up for sale is a IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T60p laptop, 2007-B27. This machine features the 15" 4:3 UXGA (1600x1200) Flexview LCD screen -
The bad:
-Screen- some horizontal lines on lower 1/4 of the screen that disappear when I squeeze the frame bevel. l haven't put any cardboard behind the LCD but I think that's a fix. There are no dropped pixels, but there is one vertical yellow line running down the screen (please see photos, I tried to capture it as best I could) that does not disappear when I squeeze the frame bevel.
-Case - cracked in upper right corner of screen case as seen in photos, does not affect the LCD in that area. Also, in the left corner where the left screen hinge attaches to the base casing, the hinge is tight, but where it mounts to the base casing has cracked, which makes it difficult to open or close the screen without having the screen hinge pop out behind the fan. I usually just leave the laptop screen open therefore, and never close it!
-DVD-RW - spins / loads discs to XP, notes whether it's a CD or CDR or DVD in the bay, but does not appear to load them or read files. ?driver issue I don't know.
-Fan noisier than it used to be. I suspect because of the now loose/cracked mounting of the screen hinge to the mounting bracket on the base case.
-Battery - 6cell I think (not the extended one). Does not really hold a charge. I will include it along with AC adapter
The good:
Everything else works. Keyboard has expected shine, but no missing keys. This has been my daily user and surfs the web/email /etc beautifully. The IBM restore partition is present, so you can restore the machine to original factory settings if you would like.
The specifications of the machine are as follows:
- Intel Core Duo 2.16 Ghz Processor (T2600)
- 3.0 GB DDR2 RAM
- DVD-RW Drive (DVD and CD burner) - does not appear to work
- 15" UXGA (1600x1200) Flexview IPS LCD - lines as described above
- Windows XP Professional SP3
- 100 GB hard drive (79.1GB available in Windows (rest taken up by partition)
- ATI Mobility Radeon V5200 Graphics (512 MB dedicated graphics memory)
- Intel A/B/G Wireless card
- 3 USB 2.0 Ports
- VGA port
- 1 PCMCIA slot
- 1 ExpressCard slot
- Gigabit Ethernet
- 56k Modem
- Audio out and microphone in ports
- Thinkpad Model number: 2007-B27
Please see the pictures for a representation of the condition of the machine. Overall, the machine is in poor but working condition for its age. This machine has scratches, sticker residue and signs of wear on the case and some scratches on all corners as well as the more notable ones described above.
You will receive the exact item pictured, along with an AC adapter. No other accessories will be included. Shipping to continental USA only!
