In very good condition and fully functional, original IBM machine running Windows XP Professional. Used in home and rarely traveled. I can’t think of any other way to safeguard our personal information so I will have to remove the hard drive. Just pop in your own drive with an OS installed and you’ll be good to go. $80 plus shipping cost. Details below:

Model 1953D9U, 1.66 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM. No issues or parts ever replaced. Includes two AC adapters, one may need the connector tip repaired or replaced.

I think you can clear the HDDs by using something called DBAN (Darik's Boot & Nuke). Put it to a floppy or CD (probably only CD), boot it, and it wipes any attached DDs.

I'd be very interested if it was a 15", but I can tell you these are very reliable machines and if anyone needs a harddrive I can provide one for $10, or I have some 80gb for $15. This machine would be a good budget laptop and could easily be upgraded to 2 or 3gb of ram. This would run Vista or even windows seven very nicely.
