Voluntary percentage payment to Thinkpads.com

I've been buying things on the forum for years, but I only made my first sale on the forum (the first one I remember, anyway) today.

I realized that I would have paid a fee to eBay if I had made the sale there, and wouldn't have enjoyed meeting the forum member who bought the machine.

So I sent a percentage of the sale price to Bill, and I'm writing this post in order to commit myself to doing the same thing when I sell something here again.

Bill, feel free to send me a complaining letter if I forget to send a percentage next time, all right?

Thanks for supporting the forum.

In february I had a special where I'd match anyone's 1$ donation when making a purchase. Many members took advantage. I purposefully kept the amount small so it wouldn't cause any hardship on anyone and if every buyer and seller each gave just one dollar it would be a huge help to Bill in running this forum.

Also, when making a donation it's a good idea to send it as a personal payment, not only to avoid the fees paypal charges but also could help avoid a huge headache when it comes to accounting.
