The LCD panel is broken...ie physically cracked. The system board is dead...probably a bad nVidia chip.
Keyboard is missing one key. No optical drive, no RAM, no HDD or caddy (cover is included). Dead battery, no AC adapter.

Basically you would be getting a T61p chassis that's in pretty good shape. Base, lid, LCD bezel, keyboard bezel, palm rest and most, if not all screws are present and in good condition. Missing a few screw covers though. Windows COA present and key is plainly legible, but the OS version has worn away. Probably XP pro.

Just been sitting here in the way for over a year now. Needs to go to someone who can use the parts.

Are the LCD panel hinges reasonably tight?

Yes, the hinges are good, stable and tight. There is just a tiny bit of play, but will hold the lid in any position.
