iam learning python 3 and want to find a Linux Mint 17 "Qiana" compatible laptop.
specifications by priority**
#1 Good condition, I don't want to be scammed, or have my laptop not work the next day. have gone through those days long ago. not a fan.
#2 cpu, I want the best bang for the buck. quad-core ect
#3 ram, im not too heavy on this between 4-8gb shall suffice as long as my cpu is good enough.
#4 ssd>sata while I realize sata will most likely be my only option given my budget, iam all ears when it comes to ssd.
#5 graphics, if its not a dedicated GPU, HD 4000 or better.
iam open to all negotiations, further inquiries, and prefer to talk to experienced and contributing members who have been here awhile.
Thankyou!
d

Welcome to the forum.
If all you want to do is programming, then a quadcore CPU is overkill!
If you insist: the only quadcores are in the Workstation laptops: 15" W510 and up or 17" W710 and up.
It would also help to tell us what size screen you are looking for.

You might want to check out
ThinkWiki to get a feel for what models are available, and the features/specs offered in each, as well as their respective strengths and weaknesses running Linux. Might help you narrow your search down to more specific models and features.

I still want to be able to multitask, and play some games. I want a mid screen size. anything close to netbook size screen. ** EDIT BIGGER THEN NETBOOK for display.
im particularly looking at T series but open to any series/model

You won't be able to find a T series ThinkPad with a screen smaller than 14", which is far from netbook size.
If you need something smaller, a X-series machine (X201/220/230) with an i7 might be your best bet, but be forewarned that these will run hot with such a CPU.
A *real* QC will only be found in the W series.
