#1 Post by brucehe » Sun Nov 16, 2014 10:44 pm

Hello all,

I am looking for a Lenovo brand Hard Drive Bay Adapter for the Optical Drive slot for a T60p.

Let me know what you all might have.

Thanks,

Bruce

I thought these inexpensive units on Ebay were knock offs and it was worthwhile getting a genuine Lenovo part? Are they just the same part and it does not matter?

Thanks,

Bruce

OK, for the price I purchased one. Let you know if it is junk.

I believe that is a knock off, I messaged the seller some time ago and they admitted it, but offered to put genuine stickers on it for me.

It might still work ok, but if you want a genuine one you can message me, I may have one I can spare.

ps. I had a case of genuine ones about two years ago and if you look in the forum there should still be photos of them posted that you can compare.

If you notice the genuine one has six metal tabs on the sides of the harddrive, the generic has two large ones just like the one on ebay.

I've gone through multiple knock-offs from different eBay-sellers without any detrimental side-effects.
The eBay-sellers include screenaid and ny-compu-tek.
YMMV.
