SOLD!: T42p, 15" UXGA FlexView, U.S. built, clean,
the basics:
ThinkPad T42p (2373-WB5)
Based 2373-CTO:
P M 745
1GB RAM
80GB 5400rpm HDD
15 UXGA(1600x1200) TFT LCD
128MB ATI FireGL T2
24x24x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD(slim)
IBM 802.11a/b/g wireless
Modem............now BlueTooth/Modem
1Gb Ether
UltraNav
Sec Chip
9c Li-Ion..........in "green"
WinXP Pro COA
Genuine IBM 72W AC adapter included
A clean example of this classic ThinkPad, "Assembled in the U.S. from U.S. and non-U.S. components for Lenovo" as the tag on the bottom states, runs as it should. The planar has been swapped at some point in the machine's life (UUID reading all zeroes) and I've re-pasted the heatsink this past week to optimize the cooling. Apart from normal wear for a ThinkPad from this era, there's nothing bad for me to say about it. The UXGA IPS LCD stands clean and bright with no visible - at least to my eyes - imperfections and is a joy to use.
PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns.

No. You could use a mSATA SSD with an appropriate mSATA-to-IDE adapter.priono2000 wrote:it is possible to modded the IDE/PATA HDd to SATA in main HDD?

i think will be difficult find mSATA to IDE adapter in my country, maybe IDE SSD is solution but this is rare item too.

Re: Feeler/FS: T42p, 15" UXGA FlexView, U.S. built, clean
They will never be good. PATA/IDE SSD's don't support TRIM and never will. A good quality IDE HDD will be a better bet for a machine like this.ajkula66 wrote:I could install one for you. Give your T43/T43p/R52/X41 the SATA it deserves! http://mikejmoffitt.com/sata

A decent, name-brand, non-SandForce 60-80GB mSATA SSD + Addonics mSATA-to-IDE adapter = $100.priono2000 wrote:Thank you for your kindness, so please send to me the price for 60 GB
Way too many issues for me to discuss them in a FS thread. Do your research. This issue about the speed of SSD or another matter

I've shipped ThinkPads to Indonesia before and have no problem doing it again. You're looking at $65 via USPS Priority Mail.priono2000 wrote:Price is good, btw how about shipping price to my country indonesia

Of course it's not included...
PM me if and when you're ready to purchase. We've bumped this thread way too many times with our discussion and it's not fair to other sellers.
Thanks for your understanding.
