These are *gifts* from Silly Old Me to anyone buying this Classic ThinkPad and the price shall NOT be lowered if you choose not to have them included.
Overall, a pretty example of the final 4:3 ThinkPad. For those into curiosities, the machine was built in Mexico "from U.S. and non-U.S. components for Lenovo", and it sports a date of November, 2007.
known imperfections:
- there are signs of "permanent" security tag removal on the lid. These can't be buffed out. If it were not for this issue, I'd rate the machine at 9.5 out of 10 since there's essentially no signs of wear anywhere else on it.
- the battery - likely the original one - is weak, showing "yellow" condition.
I'm not going to go through the entire nVidia story here, but will say that while the machine sports an "unsafe" date - just like all of its 4:3 siblings - it has been fully tested and shows absolutely no signs of any known ailment. The NMB keyboard looks barely used and even the stickers on the palrest are in almost pristine condition. As for the LCD, it's got to be one of the very cleanest and brightest 14" SXGA+ panels that I've seen in the last three years or so. Unless you expect an IPS screen (don't...
