SOLD: ThinkPad TransNote (right handed) plus port multiplier
In incredible condition is the right-handed ThinkPad Transnote.

This machine has been maxed out with 320MB Ram, a brand new keyboard to replace a bad one, Windows 2000 Professional SP4 + all updates, 40GB 7200 RPM hard disk (it came with a 10GB 5400 RPM), a brand new Pen + new AAAA battery, replacement AAAA battery, 4 ink replacement cartridges in the hidden spots of the portfolio, an original IBM pad with several pages remaining. (You can use any pad of paper though). The docking cable/port multiplier is also included.
The ThinkPad TransNote has three batteries. One is a standard laptop battery to power the machine, this maintains for about 45 minutes on a single charge (new it held about an hour and a half charge). The second (also called the Yellow battery) is the CMOS battery for keeping time, I have replaced this with a similar battery and it is working well. The third (also known as the Green battery) comprised of 6 Varta cell batteries powers the paper pad reader while the laptop is unplugged. Sadly I was not successful in trying to refurbish it; the wires to it were too corroded so even though I got new batteries (which I will include) and bridged them together, the pen/paper pad only works when the laptop is plugged in, but as you can see from the pictures it works just fine. Also the laptop is a touchscreen computer.
The computer can run Windows XP Tablet Edition well enough and I had it running that edition at one point but performance was better with Win2K as it only is a 600MHz Pentium III.
Considering the cost I spent on it @ $300 I'm still losing money but I'm saying $300 plus shipping.

Re: ThinkPad TransNote (right handed) plus port multiplier
I am interested in buying the transnote. Can it function on today's internet by any chance? I have a t60p also but would be nice. Thanks. Trying to be first in line to get this.

There's no internal wifi on a Transnote, but you can insert a wifi-card (up to 802.11N) in the PCMCIA slot.
And it has of course an ethernet port for a cable direct from your router.

Firefox 12.0 is on the machine (the last version to support Win2K). This works for HTML 5 but can feel a bit slow because of the CPU.
