WTB: T420
WTB: T420
I am looking to purchase a T420 in excellent, preferably mint, condition, with Lenovo warranty and ability to extend warranty through Lenovo.
Also, does anyone know where one might even be able to order a new T420?

Something might pop up in the Outlet, but I wouldn't count on that...

What a shame! Anyone with an excellent condition T420 they're looking to get rid of then?ajkula66 wrote:Nowhere.

Re: WTB: T420
The IBM (not LENOVO) website has several refurbished T420 with a 3M warranty which is extendable to 1Y

Re: WTB: T420
I have a mint nearly new looking T420, about 400 days left on next day on site warranty until 2-2016
SOLD to alexander_s thanks
4236-mbu
Your choice of 6 cell or 9 cell battery (9 cell sticks out the back, both have very low cycles 9 cell has 23 cycles)
1600x900, 160gb SSD, with recovery partition, possibly the recovery cd if I can find them, 65w slim power adapter. $361 (sorry $11 shipped usps flat rate shipped in the Con. US or $350 picked up if you are near Los Angeles.
Edit added some pics

Looks mint, has been used only to send some of my files to my 3d printer. Only thing worth mentioning is the corners show a tiny bit of wear (first few months I had it in my laptop bag and the corners just rub on the laptop bag)

A much better choice - and likely in far superior condition - when compared to anything IBM refurb website has to offer...jedisurfer1 wrote:I have a mint nearly new looking T420, about 400 days left on next day on site warranty until 2-2016

Well, one more reason for them to grab the jedisurfer's machine, although there is - or at least used to be - an IBM refurb website over there as well...RealBlackStuff wrote:OP lives in CANADA.

Re: WTB: T420
Thanks ajkula66 and RealBlackStuff for pointing this out. I might be cost prohibitive with shipping and customs/tariff to send it to canada.RealBlackStuff wrote:OP lives in CANADA.

@S-C-3-1-3:
if you have friends/family around Vancouver or Abbotsford, perhaps the laptop could be shipped to some US postoffice nearby, then picked up there by your friends who bring it (unwrapped, as their own) back into BC, and who could then mail it to you, or you go spend a weekend with them and collect it.
Alternative: other friends/family near other border settings (e.g. Niagara Falls/Toronto)
Or go visit California...

Re: WTB: T420
Not necessarily - and this is coming from someone who sold dozens of laptops to Canada over the past decade - presuming the following:S-C-3-1-3 wrote:
That is true...!
a) Shipping by USPS and not UPS under any set of circumstances. Shouldn't be more than $50 even for a well-packed and insured machine
b) Customs are the luck of the draw, but I've had many customers who paid *no* import duty whatsoever, and have yet to hear of anyone paying more than $70-80...
My experiences only...
