WTB: T60p LCD

Hello fellow thinkpadders! :)

Two weeks ago I bought T60p, 14" laptop on eBay (T7600, cosmetically great shape) for my collection and when it arrived, screen was black. I suppose CCFL tube is dead or something, because I could see very faint BIOS screen under powerful flashlight. Seller wants me to send it back for full refund, but I like the machine and he refuses partial refund... But what the heck, I will keep it along with Z61T Titanium I bought the same day.

So I am looking for 14" T60p (or T60 is the same I guess) MAXIMUM possible resolution (as far as I know 1400x900, could be more, not sure) LCD panel, preferably IPS for reasonable price. If it will be the whole lid/screen assembly with hinges, cables and everything, even better. I could even buy the whole T60p with dead motherboard as long as screen is good.

Please, post here and/or PM me if you happen to have one for sale.

Thanks all in advance for your help! :)

It is somewhat unclear what exactly you are looking for, so I strongly suggest that you find out what size LCD (either the legacy, 4:3 format, or the newer widescreen format?) you need, and also what resolution.

As you will see from e.g. Product Specifications Reference, ThinkPad Notebooks 2005 to 2013 - withdrawn, December 2013 - Version 447 T60's came both as the legacy (= 4:3) 14" and 15" format, as well as in 14.1" and 15.4" widescreen, and either with various resolutions. To find out the stock specifications of your T60/p, see e.g. ThinkPad Machine Type - Model lookup table.

Only the 15" (4:3) LCD's came as Flexview/IPS - for more information see the thread LCDs on T60/T60p - types, availability and other discussions.

A faint image could be a CCFL not working, or a faulty inverter, or could also be due to a blown fuse on the motherboard (ref: T60 Display problem). By the way, before buying a new LCD, I'd suggest that you verify that the GPU is indeed OK - by hooking up an external monitor using the DB-15 output (at the left side), or using a docking station, if you have one (although this test might not reveal everything... see here why). It might also be the

PS: Your footer ("automatic signature") contain a very long line, which makes your post hard to read on smaller screens. I'd suggest you consider breaking up your signature in shorter lines, or using a smaller font (use e.g. something like this).

Like Johan already said, it would help if you give more details.
Just in case, I have a perfect 14.1" LCD in SXGA+ (1400x1050), which is the standard 4:3 non-widescreen version.
PM me if interested.
