FS: old Thinkpad parts for the cost of shipping

I have a bunch of old Thinkpad parts that I salvaged over the last couple of years from trashed units. Presumably most of this stuff still works but I can't guarantee anything that's why I'm giving it away for free. There is a floppy mounted under the CD-ROM so there are two floppy drives in the lot.

Ideally I'd want everything gone to the same person.

Shipping internationally will cost between between $15 and $20. Will know when I have everything packed.

I'd appreciate a postcard when you get the parcel :-)

Just checked: CPU, fan, hinges, inverter and plastic covers are from a ThinkPad 390X Type 2626.

You wouldn't happen to have an A3x, T4x/R5x or T6x keyboard with Slovenian layout sitting somewhere, would you?

Could you *please* look for those? If they are for a 15" version, I'm *extremely* interested...

TIA

Hi ajkula,

I have one such keyboard FRU 39T0670, model RM88-SL. It's from a 15" T42p.

Cheers

If nobody wants this by the end of the month, I'm gonna have to trash everything. I'm moving my workshop to a smaller place and will be getting rid of a lot of stuff which I have no further use for.

It might be a long shot, but do you happen to know if this 390X was a PIII 450 or 500MHz model? Or if you maybe can decode the CPU type from labels on the CPU module? I have a 390X with a PII MMC-2 400MHz, so a PIII will be a direct swap. I promised myself to not buy any upgrades for this laptop, but if I can get a PIII CPU for shipping price, I will reconsider.

Yes, it's possible to decode the type from the labels but I think it's a 333MHz.. will check tomorrow and let you know.

Good. Let me know. If I the CPU is a go, I might be interested in some of the other small 390X parts too.

AFAIK, the 390X was available either with either a PII 400MHz, or PIII 450 or 500MHZ. I think i have seen a Celeron option mentioned too, but I don't know what module / form factor that CPU has.

To anyone that might be interested... you've got time until the end of the month. After 31th January don't ask me, if I still have the stuff.

Cheers
