WTB: X201 and on X-Series, maybe X200 < $200

#1 Post by zack.rod » Wed Jan 14, 2015 5:52 pm

I'm looking for one preferably without RAM or HDD and in good condition. X220 most desired but an X201 would be great. Don't want to spend too much. Thanks!

How about an an X200 Tablet for $175 shipped? It's a model that features wide angle viewing ( aka flexview ) instead of finger touch. It features a Wacom digitizer for pen entry. It's practical for taking notes with the pen or drawing. I've been playing with it for a few weeks and not sure it's worth the trouble for handwriting recognition. I spend a lot of time teaching Windows what my scribbles mean... but it gets much better as it learns.

Shipped to you with everything but hdd and memory. I'll include a brand-new hdd cover and a brand-new hdd sled. I have an old Wacom pen I'll throw in, too. The pen is not the original but works fine except it does not have an eraser. The button on the pen works fine. It stores neatly and secure inside the computer. Want pics? Just ask.

Also....
No power brick and I don't have a battery that's worth sending. Better to buy a new extended one. I'm amazed how long this machine can go on a charge. This has been, so far, the best machine I've owned as far as battery life. It's pretty scuff free and new looking. If you need a power brick, we can negotiate.

One more thing...
The digitizer on this model is glass, not plastic. Because it's glass, fine scratches on the screen from accumulated from pen use is a non-issue.

What happened to your picture request? This machine also has a finger print reader and a webcam, although I've never tried to use them.

Please do not take offense to the desk top drawing. I've been playing with how color project and recedes with drawings on this computer's Wacom digtizer and I just wanted to show you a drawing from this machine. LOL It was NOT made for public consumption!

Here's the pics page:

I forgot to shoot the Wacom pen but that's included too.

Looks pretty nice. I'm gonna look around some more and get back to you in a couple of days. Thanks!

I just tested a X200 battery I have. It's a big extended battery. Here's the specs on it:

Design Capacity 66240
Last Full Charge 63700

That's not a new battery but it's real close. I'll throw that in the deal too.

I just signed up to this forum because I'm looking for an X200 battery. If the original poster didn't take you up on your offer, would you be interested in selling?
