Re: T60 Recovery Software
SP3 was not an option with these disks, SP2 only.
If you run out of other options I can burn you a set, just send me a PM.

If you go with the factory (SP2) set, then download, burn and install this SP3 update from the horse's mouth: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=25129ajkula66 wrote:SP3 was not an option with these disks, SP2 only.

Re: T60 Recovery Software
Sorry, but I've been out of pocket for a few days. I apologize for the late responses to all those who have been trying to help.
To jronald: The reason I'm probably not going with a version of vista or even a newer OS is that the project I'm working on uses Audacity 2.06 Audio processing software which has a recommended memory requirement of 512 mb when using Win XP. I don't pretend to understand why, but when using Vista or higher, the same release recommends 4 gb! This is more memory than my trusty T60 can give.
To: theterminator93: I would be happy to buy this media if it's still available and I'll PM you about that. I wonder, and I sense that you are not entirely sure, if the T61 recovery media will work on my machine. I wonder if anyone else has tried this out?
To: rkawakami Thank you very much for the link. As the grouchy flexview farmer pointed out, Any recovery media I am able to come up with will not contain SP3. So the info about the link is much appreciated. In fact, I'm going to download that as soon as I'm finished catching up on responses in order to be ready when the time comes.
My 21 yr career with IBM came to an end in 1999 during one of the purges, but in my short time as a member of this forum, I am reminded that this is how it always was. People who may have had way too much on their plate already, always willing to lend a hand or point me in the right direction. It's a very good feeling.
Thanks to everyone
