I'm letting this thing of beauty go...and yes, it's a top-of-the-line model with a 1.6GHz CPU...are you salivating yet... :)

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the machine itself. It's NOT this adorable little ThinkPad, it's ME.

I've come to the conclusion that I simply can't live with anything less than 1050 vertical pixels regardless of the screen size...not kidding.

known imperfections:

- normal wear and tear for a ThinkPad from this era
- media drive is audible - NOT noisy - on startup. It works perfectly well, though

the good stuff:

1) the system comes with 3 (that's three) genuine, working Lenovo batteries, all made by Sanyo, FRU 42T4643

battery # 1: red, holds 27.73 out of 43.20Wh (64%), 83 cycles

battery # 2: red, holds 26.52 out of 43.20Wh (61%), 157 cycles

battery # 3: green, holds 44.36 out of 43.20Wh (102%), 2 cycles

2) The mSATA SSD sports the latest firmware and shows 100% health as per Crystal Disk Info, with power on time of 12 hours right now, might be a few more by the time the next owner receives the laptop.

3) The LCD is outright perfect with no scratches, dead spots, dust specs or pressure marks.

other notes:

I'm running W7 Pro 32 on this machine, and it feels up to par for any task short of (obviously) gaming or heavy video encoding/number crunching. With that being said, anyone who would consider this machine for the aforementioned purposes even when it were new should have their head examined... 8)

The laptop will come with either a fresh install of Vista Business, *nix distro of your choice or a blank SSD.

PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns.

Sounds like a real beauty George!

Good luck with the sale....although I'm sure it'll be gone soon enough :)

Sorry, no.

The terms of sale *always* remain between the buyer and myself. That's a principle that I've been holding onto for many years.

I must have missed something; I was under the impression that an item could not be listed for sale without giving a price. When did this change?

There was a price when George posted the FS.

If he negotiated the price down I'm not interested in that. I just want the original listing price.

Since my FS thread is turning into a debate, I'm locking it.

Should the machine become available again, I'll re-list it, with a price.
