For Sale: IBM Thinkpads... Z60m (cracked screen) & Z60t (excellent)

I have had these 2 laptops for a few years now, and they have been replaced recently so they're no longer needed.

The Z60m has 2GB RAM and is the 2.00 GHz processor. It's currently running Ubuntu 12.04 and works perfectly, save for the fact that the screen is a total loss. The crack goes from lower right to upper left, and is viewable, but hardly acceptable. The battery (an after market model) is good for about 40 minutes. Awesome titanium shell! - $50 - sold

The Z60t has 1.5 GB RAM and is the 1.77 GHz processor. This system is currently offline, but works perfectly as well. I was running XP on it FOREVER, but blew the drive away the other day. This is still my favorite format for a laptop, it fit easily into every bag I own, and before the battery actually died, it would stay up for hours. - $50

No hard drives included (mounting hardware is included).

I am asking for $40 (shipped) but would easily consider offers.

Are the screens interchangeable?

Not by any stretch of imagination. 15.4" vs. 14."

I believe I have a screen for the z60m if someone needs one. It should be a standard 15.4". The z60t could be an oddball 14" 1280x768.

The Z60t screen is perfect.

The cracked screen on the Z60m is still viewable (been using it to rip DVDs with no problem). I'm also willing to negotiate, as these are just taking up space!

I was aware the z60t screen was perfect, just trying to offer what I know about these models. George can probably correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the Z60m uses a regular WXGA 1280x800 15.4" screen. I have several of these in perfect grade A condition for only $20 plus shipping. I had a bunch of slightly blemished screens too but I think I donated them to a charity, but if I can find another it would be half price, so you can fix these laptops very inexpensive. You could probably also use a WSXGA+ 1680x1050 screen which I should have in all grades.

The Z60t titanium is really a beautiful laptop, much like the Z61t. The clearcoat on the titanium lid is fragile, but they sure are pretty. You can see one that I sold a few years back here...

This will give you an idea how nice they look when they are well cared for. These were some of the first widescreen thinkpads and it's a shame lenovo didn't continue to develop this series.

Thanks for the clarification!

Here's a couple shots of the 2. The Z60m really is pretty, and my case is in pretty good shape. I did want to note that the battery isn't surviving for very long on the m.
