I need a good fan assembly -- whole fan and copper housing -- for T61 (prod ID 7661W1H; type 7661-CTO). Present one is very noisy.

Lenovo lookup isn't working using the info you gave, but if this motherboard has a discreet video chip (I believe it should), I have one, still new in the box straight from Lenovo. How much are you looking to spend?

Just FYI, Lenovo Support may (or may probably not!) support all "older" ThinkPads. Fortunately, there's an option (Taa-daah!); see the thread ThinkPad Machine Type - Model lookup table *PIC* and turn to this post which will point you to the following site:

... made by a very clever German follow. Type in, on the latter page, the Model/Type of your ThinkPad (e.g. 7661-W1H) and you will see the stock-configuration for this machine, exactly as if using Lenovo's MTM-lookup! Great utility, ain't it?!

You can also find Drivers and HMM buttons there.

well I didn't try very hard myself, but thanks the tip of where to find the MTM button, on each page!
