WTB: Defective 770 (or 600) unit, shipping to US

#1 Post by Norway Pad » Sun Mar 29, 2015 2:14 pm

Hello all

I have for a while been trying to find a defective 770 unit for a project, but I have to face the fact that such stuff is unavailable here in Norway. One guy did in fact email me, telling he could sell me a 770 he had sitting in his shed, only to email me again some hours later telling that his wife threw it away last fall..

Anyway, I have until now skipped the idea of buying one from the US, as the shipping will turn that into a heck of an expensive 770 shell. But now my wife is going to the US for training and visiting family the last part of April, so I see a chance to have her bring one back. So are there anyone who can sell me a 770 (D, E, ED, X or even Z), preferably non-functioning, but otherwise ok? I would hate to sacrifice a working unit. So it's preferable if the motherboard is dead (Or even missing), but that the LCD is working, and that the keyboard and rest of the shell is in decent condition. Wear and scuffs is ok, but no cracks or broken off and missing bits and keys.

The 770 is the preferred choice, but a 600 shell could also do, if nothing else turns up. So let me know if you have either of those two units.

Shipping will be to Meridian, ID, 83642.

Thanks in advance!

Giving this a bump before I go with the one offer I got. Note that a 600 can do too, even though a 770 is the preferred option.
