Here- is my initial 701C project of a 701C I attempted to rescue from a recycle center. It turned out an utter disaster, and I kept it for parts, but now I feel like there's other 701C owners who could benefit from this.
Basically what we've got is messed up plastics and coverings on most of the exterior parts, mostly the screen back and bezel. But the screen itself works(it's a 701C TFT color screen, not the DSTN 701CS screen), the motherboard works, the keyboard and it's mechanism works good(although the X key is missing a tab and falls out), and the base is mostly good, and there's a RAM module installed.
Also- you can see in the picture, my roommate took up trying to use this guide: http://www.conradshome.com/thinkpad/701/battery/ and rebuild the battery. I'm not sure what level of progress he made, but his soldering came apart a bit, but I will leave it as is and even include the batteries we got if you wish to complete it or use the resources for your own purposes(if you do not wish for me to include it, I can remove it from the purchase.)
I will sell all of these parts as you see them for $95, shipping cost separate. I will pack them more decently than seen here and ship it in the box you see here, I'm open to shipping requests as well. If you wish to split something up to buy separately, please PM me and I will consider it based on interest.
