The time has come for me to try to add a 700 / 700C to my collection. The first real Thinkpad. So I want to start by putting up a WTB ad here, as that's usually what has given the best results earlier.

For the general terms, I assume 700 / 700C units are getting so rare that I won't put too many criteria for looks and condition. It needs to be in one piece, and no parts broken off or missing. 4/10 or better. Apart from that it doesn't even have to work, as this old hardware can't do much anyway. Condition and working / non-working will of course need to be reflected in the price.

Ok, so I'm taking back up an old thread here.

I'm currently in the process of negotiating over purchasing a 700C. This will be the first and only 700C I buy, presumable also the only unit ever from this very early era, so I want to be sure I'm doing the right thing here. But before I go ahead and finalize the deal, I would like to check if there are any other 700C for sale here. For various reasons it's good to have a choice, and also to see where the price level is at. I haven't seen any for sale the last years, so it's pretty hard to know what to expect.

General conditions is 5/10 condition, no plastic parts broken off or missing, and it should boot. Function is however not a 100% requirement, but if it doesn't work, that needs to be reflected in the price.

Hi. Yes, I'm aware of that sale. Some of you have probably already guessed that my last call is somehow connected to this sale, and it is, but I don't know how anything will turn out quite yet. So I'm still open for other offers. If there are any..
