asking $1600 plus shipping, can do $20 discount if picked up locally, either from NYC, NY, Jersey City, NJ or Vienna, VA.
Notice:money must be paid through paypal as "send money to friends or family"

16GB RAM (4*4GB, they have FRUs on them)
FX3800m
WUXGA screen (I can't spot any imperfections on it)
500GB*2 HDD in RAID0, powered on less than 100 hours

Everything has original FRU on it, will also include a set of recovery disks (in simplified Chinese, but I will write a guide telling you how to change the language to English)

This model has always been on my list but $1600 for an 8/10 unit is hard to swallow when I just placed an order for a friend to buy an X1 carbon with the 2560 x 1440 screen for under $1200

You can cut the price by, say, take i7 720qm instead of 920xm, take FX2800m instead of FX3800m,
take 8GB or no RAM instead of 16GB, etc. etc.
If you are looking for the working ones with overall condition 9/10, 9.5/10 or above, you will be looking at a price ranging $1900-2300 on ebay.

I've got my broken 9/10 W701ds from the same seller as I got this 8/10 W701ds, And as you know, these novel mobile workstations have more collectible values than practical values. That's why I'm not selling the 9/10, although I could get more money if I put the good parts in the 9/10 W701ds and put it up.

P.S. one of my friend got a manufacture refurbished X1 Carbon 2nd gen for $700 with 2K touch screen and 8GB RAM. (actually it's the X1 Carbon in the picture in ebay listing )
It's hard to compare W701ds directly to X1 Carbon, as the previous one has collectible value and the latter doesn't
