Preferably 1GHz+, and as perfect as possible.
I have had no luck in the past several months finding one of these machines so naturally I thought to inquire at the ThinkPad hub.

Sheer curiosity on my end, since I don't have one to sell you: how much are you looking to spend?
I do know someone who has a couple of those in their personal collection and may or may not be willing to part with them, but if he does they won't come at bargain basement prices...

I have had no luck in the past several years expecting someone at the ThinkPad hub to get the SXGA+ cable from me.
You might decide upon a build-it-yourself SXGA+ T23: find a base T23, add cable, add TFT LCD panel. I have too the panel, for someone whom feels like replacing the CCFL. I have too the bottom base T23,
for someone whom feels like replacing the fuse (or bridging it with a blob of solder).
