I just picked up an Intel GPU based 4:3 14" T61 that is in very good overall condition, but...I really don't need it. Maybe someone here can use it?
Thinkpad T61 8895-2FU
T7300(2GHz)
1GB RAM-----------------Upgraded to 2GB RAM
80GB 5400rpm HD
14.1in 1024x768 LCD
Intel X3100
CDRW/DVD
Intel 802.11agn(n-disabled)
Bluetooth
Modem
1Gb Ethernet
UltraNav
Secure chip
Fingerprint reader
6c Li-Ion
WinVista Business
Overall this T61 is in very nice condition, with the only issue being the upper right corner of the palmrest is cracked where the screw hole is mounted. Someone obviously torqued down on this screw and cracked it. Although it is cracked, the screw still holds it in place so there isn't any plastic missing.
Everything operates as it should. The screen is still nice and pretty bright, with no pressure marks or stuck pixels. The keyboard has very little wear or shine, and the plastics are in very nice. The upper lid has light normal wear-much better overall than most I see. The hinges do have some play, but I have seen worse.
This would make a great second laptop for someone, or part it out and use the somewhat hard to find Intel 4:3 motherboard for your 15" T601 Frankenpad project! Note: The motherboard FRU is 42W7648, but I have flashed the Middleton BIOS so that Penryn CPU's will work without issue.
