WTB: IBM 3D Sound Card (PCMCIA)

#1 Post by Arf the Lab » Thu Jul 16, 2015 11:41 pm

Hello, all.

I have a very specific need for an IBM 3D Sound PCMCIA card, pictured below.
If anyone has one they'd like to part with, please contact me directly. Thanks!

Sorry,
I do not have such sound-cards .

But: I could help, if You were prepared to use a Creative Audigy 2zs.

It is a PCMCIA/cardbus-sound-card of very fine quality. I could offer two of those my daughters had in use bevor switching to different Laptops. Drivers and software can be found at Creative Labs, it is ample and supports up to Windows 8, I assume that it will support Windows 10, too.

In my opinion it could be a fine solution to Your problem. You might find it on ebay/USA, too.

now using an upgraded T60-61P "Frankenpad" (15"UXGA-LED Penryn 8GB 500GB/7200), and an X201/X230T (i7 8/16GB/500GB) Windows10

I already have an Audigy 2ZS. It's fine, but it does not suit all my needs.

As stated in my original post:

No other PCMCIA sound card will do.
So, I am really hoping someone here has one for sale.

Thanks.

EDIT: Probably you saw this: the photo seems to be identical to the one you posted.

Thanks, but they are sold out too. I appreciate the link, though. They said they'd get ahold of me if another turns up, so I've got my fingers crossed.
A lot of this hardware is becoming scarce, but for people who can still put it to good use, it's great to be able to find. I'm confident I'll get one of these eventually, and (fortunately) have the patience to wait.

I'm still very much in need of an IBM 3D Sound Card.
Any for sale? I sure hope so.

And a Merry Christmas to you all. :)
