Looking for a 10.4" Sharp Screen -- TFT 800x600 SVGA -- part numbers P000220320 and/or VF0170P01 (for a Toshiba Portege 620ct subnotebook, ca. 1995). Heck, I'd buy a whole 620ct if I could find another!
Or is there another screen that is a compatible replacement? It's the same era as Thinkpad Butterfly 701c, so might there be a Thinkpad screen that could work for this?
Any help tracking down and getting ahold of this rarity is greatly appreciated!

The 701C used a 640 x 480 10.4 inch screen. The only 10.4 inch 800 x 600 from that era was the 755CX with the Mwave built in modem and audio...another cutting edge machine at the time, but I think that screen would be very hard to find.. I once had a Portege 610ct and I also was very fond of it...very compact laptop for the time.

Not sure if they're compatible but the Sony N505 series had 10.4" displays. The N505VE, in particular, was 1024x768. Most other models were 800x600 if memory serves. The question then comes down to pinouts and connector locations.
The ThinkPad S30 and 240/240X series (note: not the newer X240) intended for ASEAN market countries had 10.4" displays as well.

Here's some info I have on the Toshiba Portege 620ct:
An "Exploded View" showing how all the pieces fit together and the Part #s:
-
http://www.hierax.com/computer/toshiba/ ... edView.pdf
The Hardware Maintenance Service Manual:
-
http://www.hierax.com/computer/toshiba/ ... Manual.pdf
Not sure if that tells enough about the kind of connections, but it's the most detailed stuff I've found so far...

Having taken the computer apart (much harder with Toshiba's vs. Thinkpads!), there's another code on the back of the screen: LTM10C272.

That LTM10C272 indicates it's a Toshiba VGA screen (640x480).

Weird.
The other VF0170P01 number on the same screen matches the Toshiba Part number for the 620ct which is 800x600 (from the Toshiba exploded view document above).
I've got two 620ct computers: 1 totally dead screen which I took apart to look at; the other partially cracked which I don't want to risk removing until I have a functioning one.

The 610ct (according to the similar exploded view document of it) has the 640x480 screen with part numbers of P000204600, VF0139P01, and LTM09C031A.

Guess I found the wrong info, sorry.
Check here, it must be 800x600 and there are also a whole bunch of alternatives:

follow-up, in case anyone else ever wants to do this:
FWIW, I did find a LTM10C272S which is working but it took swapping the wire connectors (the white plastic plug/prong thingees) from the original screen spliced onto the wires of the new screen to get it to fit.
That said, I have another 620ct that I'd like to get a screen for, so if anyone has one, I'm still interested whether it is an "S" or non-"S" model number of screen.
