I have a X61 in very nice overall condition for sale. It does show a couple of areas of wear, but for the most part is in much better shape than the majority of X61 laptops that you see available.

As mentioned, overall this X61 is in very good condition. Here are the cosmetic issues, which are all highlighted in the link to the pictures:

-Normal wear/scratches on the edges of the screen lid
-Very small crack in the right front corner of the palmrest, which does not seem to be broken all the way thru.
-A couple of small marks on the LCD from the keyboard (Not shown in the pictures, and VERY typical of almost every used X61 I have seen. These marks are much smaller than what I normally see.)

Besides the previously mentioned wear on the screen lid, the lid is very clean and free of any marks or scratches. Another rarity on an X61 from my experience. The LCD screen works well, and is still fairly bright overall. There is a little bit of shine on a few of the keyboard keys, but overall the keyboard is in very good condition. The battery is original and still holds a full charge from my use. I have installed a spare Intel 40GB SSD which I will include with the unit, wiped and formatted so that you can install the OS of your choice. Middleton BIOS has already been installed.

In regards to the upgrade option...I have a spare X61 motherboard with the faster and cooler running 2.1GHz T8100 CPU. For an additional charge, I will swap in this motherboard in place of the existing T7300 CPU motherboard.
