Need a fan for a 15.4" R61 8934-A7U
You are right of course, RBS. The PN is 42W2403 & the FRU is 42W2779. Thank you also thinkpadcollection, you explained what I need better than I could.

It always helps to give a bit more info, like it's for a 15.4" R61 with Intel graphics.
And then there was eBay if all else fails...

That poster's computer is 15.4" means cannot use any other heatsink but R61 intel GPU heatsink since there is a voltage regulator inductor coil that heatsink plate had to bridge over. Had to be exact replacement.

I had R61 like that before I upgraded to nvidia T61 motherboard with upgraded T61 heatsink and a copper shim on GPU using T500 fan and a new 1.5mm thermal pad (6w/mk or 11w/mk) on northbridge.

This part is different for Intel and nVidia models, but luckily it's very easy to replace just the fan motor on these and I may even have one. I recall ordering an extra the last time I replaced on as I had to have it shipped from China.

You also might want to open the fan up as the one I replaced probably could have been fixed with a good cleaning, the radiators were clogged with lint so no airflow.
