(also, yeah, in the past I've ordered various-assortment of replacement sets from spamazon, and they all came with official-looking Lenovo packaging, part#s/FRU/etc. - but also all were made in China. I simply assumed that was the standard case these days, but apparently not...? in any case, I've had more than a few transactions with erik in the past - (I think most of us have and it's always been great.)

I got mine a couple of days ago, so shipping was amazingly quick, even to Europe.

The caps are already tested by both my wife and I, and they are verified to be the same quality and particularly the same friction as the ones that come with new Thinkpads. The last time I bought cheap ones on eBay, I got caps that were so slippery that I had to apply excessive force to keep the finger from just slipping. I tried to sand them, even soak them in nail polish remover to soften up the rubber, but to no prevail..

I remember reading somewhere that an IBM ThinkPad executive when travelling would carry a small supply of TrackPoint caps with him. If he saw someone using a ThinkPad, at an airport for example, he would stop and chat and give the person a couple of spares.

I assume this is still available?

The remaining 7 sets were sold to a buyer in Switzerland.
