I'm looking for ram which throws errors in MemTest either 4gb or 8gb modules and speed >=8500.

If you have DIMMs causing BSOD and haven't thrown them out yet, I'm interested and will pay shipping and a token fee.

I should mention how the bad ram will be used.

The ram'll be going into a thinkpad cluster (a dozen T400's, R400's and an x220)
which is prototyping ways to generate opensource 7-man endgame tablebases for chess on common hardware
and/or on multiple compute nodes.

"Ok, but bad ram? Why not use good ram?"

Bad ram's cheaper and will work fine for the thinkpad cluster.
Grub will tell the kernel to mask the bad sectors.
# file: /etc/default/grub
# Uncomment to enable BadRAM filtering, modify to suit your needs
# This works with Linux (no patch required) and with any kernel that obtains
# the memory map information from GRUB (GNU Mach, kernel of FreeBSD ...)
