Why is it that every time someone sells an item here and specifies "BEST OFFER" they get all kinds of posts asking for a price? They are accepting OFFERS folks and likely not selling at any known price to the first person! Make the seller your best offer, show them you are serious by telling them how you are willing to pay and when you can send payment, and they will either decline it, accept it, or tell you they will accept it if after a specific amount of time they have not received a better offer. Oh, and don't lower your offer later if you ARE the best offer and accepted. That's just not cool.
From my own personal experience, if a seller places a price they will surely get posts or lots of PM's telling them why their price is too high and how the same item can be obtained on eBay for so much less (even though the item one eBay is so inferior it's not funny). My response to these people (who are usually never serious buyers and are only looking to steal your item 'cause otherwise why the hell didn't they buy the junk on eBay they are comparing you too?) is to make me a serious offer if they feel my price is too high, and justify it by making me a fair camparison to a similar item in like condition... that's what I do as a buyer. They never respond. I guess doing a little serious research is too hard for them. They want to steal it!
Not everybody knows how much their stuff is worth in the market at the specific time they are selling. Not everyone has to sell right away or needs the money right away. Those are a few of the reasons people sell for "BEST OFFER". Please respect that of this seller, and all sellers who do not give you a specific price. If you MUST buy something NOW, send the person a PM making your BEST SERIOUS offer and also let the seller know you are in a hurry to obtain a similar item, so if your price is not acceptable could they please tell you a price that IS alright for a quick sale. That way, if they don't sell it to you at that price right away they will surely give you the price info you so desperately desire. Remember, the seller usually isn't the one playing games as they almost always really want to get rid of these items.
Just my 2-cents on this 'cause it bugs me when I sell this way. There is a very respected seller here who never gives a price in his posts. In fact, he's selling an item right now. He always asks to be contacted via e-mail where he will give you a price if you ask. If his posts to sell this way are respected, why not respect ALL sellers who choose not to supply a firm price in their posts?

Yes, but in case you've overlooked the point, this is NOT a For Sale board!kadf88 wrote:Not to counter your arguments or anything but most for sale boards on the net require you to post a price.
