Well I had a good run with this X2001 Frankie. It was a fun learning project! I got me an X220 non-tablet to replace the X2001 Frankie. Here is the skinny on the specs and disclosures:
- Core i5 520M
- Intel 5700MHD Graphics
- Intel 6200 Wifi
- 2GB RAM
- LED backlit LG-screen
- Bluetooth and Webcam (missing web cam cover; has all-black non-camera cover on it currently)
- Fleabay battery (lasts ~1.5 hours)
- Dock w/DVDRW writer/reader
- No AC adapter (need it for my x220)
- PCIe 2-mSDHC adapter (see disclosures)
Disclosures:
- Screen was bought used so it has one white spot, one dead pixel, and trackpad button marks on the screen (only visible when screen is off).
- There are two screws missing from the bottom holding the palmrest and keyboard. There seems to be posts missing for it.
- Once in a while there are very light beeps on startup that stop after a couple of seconds. It's been that way for a year but the Frankie is still working fine.
- There are two speakers in the unit from an X201. One speaker fit fine but the other I put under the keyboard next to the wifi card. Works fine but as speakers go in this series they are tinny sounding and would highly suggest headphones or ext. speakers.
- Comes with either a touchpad palmrest or the one from the X200 (please specify which you prefer). Palmrest with touchpad has a very tiny pin sized hole. The touchpad works fine if you disable chiral scrolling and pinch-to-zoom in Ultranav. I set mine to two-finger scrolling, tap to click, and three-finger swipe to move forward and backward in pages (inc. webpages, windows explorer, etc).
- I replaced a very dim CCFL screen with a TN LED back-lit LG Phillips screen. While not IPS it is a large improvement over the CCFL! I suggest going into the basic windows color calibrator and adjusting the contrast, gamma, and warm/cool color settings there. Adjusting those settings made a big difference vs the stock settings.
- Will throw in a PCIe microSDHC adapter. It has two slots for mSDHC cards. Just never used it. May require some sort of modded BIOS tinkering to work.
- Audio does work via Displayport on dock FYI

Willing to part with it for $70 (OBO) + $12 shipping CONUS. Paypal preferred. If there are any questions you may ask here. Thanks!
